Me time... is good for the soul!

Hello lovely mama,

Just throwing the idea out there… get some me time once in a while! It is good for the soul.  By “me time”  what I really mean is time away from your role as a mother, just a little break to be you, to unwind, relax, rest, revive. Whatever that might be, sleeping in, reading, hiking, going out with a friend, or activity you enjoy, or anything that helps you feel like the real you and builds your health and strength.

Couple of weeks again, I took a morning off to get myself a pampering treat. I actually really need to get myself sorted because it had been months since I visited a hairdresser and because my nails really needed some TLC. The truth is that mentally it also did wonder! 

I had to overcome the guilt feeling, do you get that too? Do you feel guilty if you take a break, if you relax, rest, enjoy yourself? Do you feel like you don’t deserve it? Within the last couple of years, I finally realised that : It is imperative I make time for myself. It can really bring back the power of reconnecting, recharching, and inspiring me so I return stronger than before, and a better mum.

Back to my pampering treat, I visited N.BAR in our neighbourhood  and loved it! Not new to the beauty salon franchise, it’s definitely one of best in Dubai and I have been  visiting on and off the brand for  15 years! N.BAR Jumeirah Park is perfectly located in Jumeirah Park Pavilion, a community shopping complex with supermarket, pharmacy, retails and food outlets. The salon is bright, clean and the staff was lovely.

N.BAR offers all the classics, treatments including nail services, waxing, lashes, brows, LVL lash lift, facials and massages (full listing). My little pampering escapade included a mani/pedi perfectly executed and a mini facial to revive my skin. The salon offers different mini facials using GLAMGLOW products, I picked the Ultimate Youth version to work on my tired mama face. A quick fix but it definitely brought back a fresh glow and managed to boost my mood! Winner!

I had a super efficient visit to the Mall of the Emirates branch for a hair colour. I was desperate to get my grey hair back in hiding and get the brassy look out. Result within two hours fresh glossy brown locks and a smile back on my face. Sisters Beauty Lounge flagship branch at the Dubai Mall is lovely, my favourite more luxurious and relaxing.
