A few things this week...

La Mer by Meraas

La Mer, really cool beachfront development is finally open. We had a stroll around to check it out. Stretching out into the ocean from Jumeira 1 neighbourhood, La Mer takes it's inspiration from the way the sea embraces driftwood, timber, rusted metal, barrels and other items, brought by the tide to shore, many of which form the main elements of the built-up environment. It creates a cool and easy going vibe. We loved the hammocks in the sea, the colourful little beach huts, children’s playground and pathways leading to the beach. The first phase comprises La Mer North and La Mer South, which has over 130 hundred shops, cafés, restaurants, and beach activities, that act as a meeting point for people to enjoy a great time, whether they are visiting La Mer to eat, play or unwind. It's still a work in progress with many shops, cafés, restaurants soon to open. We are so excited for this new Dubai family destination. La Mer will also be home to ‘Hawa Hawa’, a new air-filled trampoline concept that was first created and installed in public parks in Japan. Let's stay tune...

Holster, cute Jelly footwear for the family

Shout out to Australia’s leading jelly footwear, Holster. I received a cute pair of comfortable black flat sandals with studs while the girls totally loved their bright pink embellished funky jelly beach shoes. We love that Holster is eco conscience and take pride to reduce their ecological footprint. This extends to using vegan-friendly components in all holster footwear, non-toxic PVC, recycled materials in packaging and absolutely no production waste.
