Marina Souq - charming shopping destination - stuff we love

Such a nice morning at Marina Souq today. The charming market located in Umm Suqeim 1 Fishing Harbour is a lovely shopping destination. A must do for Dubai mamas after the school run. A sweet place to grab a coffee and nibbles while browsing some lovely local vendors. I love the idea of supporting local entrepreneurs and at Marina Souk you get to meet the passionate people behind those homegrown businesses. You will love the outdoor location, under the large marquee over-looking the harbour.

The atmosphere is friendly and the shopping experience unique. Here's some of our favourite vendors not to miss...

KeenBag cool selection of tote, clutches, beach & hand bags but also tuniques and home decoration accessories - 100% Created and Made in Dubai. Nice combination of a traditional Arabic style and a French twist. Carinne the lovely designer behind KeenBag knows how to source original ghutrahs and work with regular suppliers and professional tailors to create her lines - Keenbags and KeenHome goods.

Birdsn'Bees sweet, chic and affordable clothes and accessories for your little ones. Lovely selection of French & British designers, well curated pieces from Bonheur du Jour, CdeC, Petite Lucette, Troizenfants. Pop’Up Store selling as well swimwear & beachwear from Sunuva to keep the kids safe with UV protecting fabrics in great designs. Also very popular range of colourful fairy lights. Got some for Luella's bedroom - great and easy add to your home decor...

Twins Dubai simple yet elegant, super easy to wear sandals... large selection of finishes, about 30 different colors and material. I am a havainas girls, tough to get me out of my flip flop but just love the simple design and comfort of the Twins...

2birds another favourite from Marina Souq. Love the beach vibes from a well selected range of items from around the world. 2birds is Dubai run by two aussie girls. You must check the flowing summer dresses, kaftans and accessories. I am a fan of the colourful cotton turkish towels and rarely carry terry towels to the beach...

Baker & Spice's pop up stand is perfect stop for coffee and treats. Also great selection of breads and pastries. Love the soul food concept with true values: local | organic | fresh | homemade
