Last week, we got to try out another CityWalk venue . Mo's casual dining is a really nice food experience for your belly. For info Mo's is the casual little sister of Caramel in DIFC. Perfect for breakfast and lunch it also offers dining option in a pleasant industrial comfy diner look and spacious setting.
Mo's is like an all day diner of American favorite recipes with a twist like Chicken Club Sandwich, BBQ Chicken Salad, selection of Hamburgers, Steak Sandwich, Cheese Quesadilla, Spaghetti Meatballs, Tuna Melt… I would recommend breakfast just for the stack of Banana Pancakes, Stuffed Chocolate French Toast or Lax Bagel.
We ordered Cheese Quesadilla and sampled the TNT Shrimp Tacos for appetizer, served with guacamole, slaw and mayo. Ouhaaa, both orders were really good. Nothing greasy or heavy just simple and fresh ingredients. Signature entrées did not disappoint! Moving on to the main courses, we picked a light and healthy Roasted Chiken Quinnoa Salad and my friend a Classic Hamburger with french fries to satisfy our cravings. My salad was nice nothing too exciting but good. Dubai offers, a lot of great options for burgers, this is just another good one.
Mo's selection of desserts and sweet items is appealing from classic American Pies and Cakes to Milk Shakes and Ice Cream Sundays. Something for every one sweet tooth. Our coconut cake was deliciously most and tasty, a disaster for the waistline. Our Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Fudge Chocolate Sauce was definitely lacking the rich warm sauce, a disappointing treat, which became a bit plain and "too vanilla".
Mo's has a nice kids menu, to please all little appetites like "Silver Dollar Pancakes with Maples Syrup", "Peanut Butter & Jelly Square", "French Toast Sticks" for breakfast. The kids Lunch and Diner menu has some classic options like chicken tenders or mini Kobe burgers but also kid friendly Meatball Spaghetti, Creamy Mac&Cheese or Chicken Quesadilla - from 22AED to 35AED. Good to know, on Sunday Kids under 11 years old - one for each adult ordering, eat free at Mo's.
Overall, I think Mo's is a pleasant dining option in Jumeirah Citywalk with a great extended menu of very appealing American classic dishes. Special note to the staff who was caring, efficient and attentive. I would go back on a Friday for breakfast to sample some the old favorites. Thanks Mo's for having us!
Let me introduce you to (if you don't already know) Cosset. A beautiful line of everyday womenswear basics, made from luxuriously soft, sustainable bamboo fabric. The brand was founded in 2009 with environmentally conscious roots, from sustainability, recyclability, and reusability. I am loving the eco conscious "lifestyle" portrait by the brand - see instagram below. photos instagram.com/cossetme
Cosset offers a beautiful range of eco stylish, comfortable womenswear basics from tank tops, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, underwear and more… the ultimate leisurewear. It's so comfortable, breathable and versatile that it's a fantastic wardrobe option when pregnant. You can play with it and make it work in many ways - worn back to front, layered over each other or tied in several ways.
Why bamboo? Bamboo fabric is made from regenerated bamboo cellulose. It has some special natural properties: durable, lightweight, breathable and soft like "silky jersey". Perfect for the Dubai heat, bamboo fabric draws moisture away from the body and has thermal regulating properties so you’ll feel cool and comfortable throughout the day. A great eco choice - bamboo is also a rapidly renewable resource. It’s one of the fastest growing plants and requires little or no herbicides and pesticides to thrive.
This week, I was invited to Eternel Clinic for a treatment. The "medispa" located on Beach Road in Jumeirah offers a an extensive treatment list, a blend of medical and aesthetic skin, slimming and hair treatments. Prior to my treatment, I was not sure what I wanted to try out, because I am pregnant, I had to take in consideration my condition. I needed a little "pick me up" session something to make me feel better and refreshed. I felt like my skin was tired (lacking glow - no pregnancy glow here) and with some mild discoloration.
After filling up some forms and questionnaire about my skin and general health. The senior therapist Samia took me into the room to proceed with my treatment. She checked out my skin and pointed out some issues. We agree to proceed with a Deep Cleansing Facial, follow by a mini Microbermabrasion and Vitamin C treatment.
The Cleansing facial with extraction is beneficial for congested skin. Microdermabrasion is a common procedure used for facial rejuvenation. The procedure is performed using a machine that sprays fine crystals across the skin, removing the top layer of the skin, and then vacuuming the crystals and skin away. It's s a fast, pain-free and non-invasive procedure that can give you smoother, more youthful skin. The Vitamin C treatment help with superficial pigmentation, sun/brown spots, uneven skin tone and brighten the complexion.
Overall, the time at the clinic was good, professional, experienced and relaxing. It was a great opportunity to sample some of the most popular procedures. I definitely felt relaxed and my skin improved just with one session. I felt the instant result like smoother skin surface and got a healthy glow. I understand that the Microdermabrasion polishes the top layer of the skin and promotes the growth of healthy new cells, improves wrinkles, skin texture and color. I would need to do monthly sessions to fully get the benefice of the procedure. Recommended!
Advanced Microdermabrasion (60min) AED650, Mini Facial Microdermabrasion (30min) AED400 Deep Cleansing Treatment (60min) AED600. Checkout www.eternelclinic.com for more details and the complete list of the available treatments.

Lovely morning at the spa! Today, I was one lucky mummy... my sweet girlfriends treated me to a "prenatal massage" at the beautiful Talise Spa at Al Qasr Jumeirah. Talise offers serene atmosphere from the palm tree-lined pathway, to the flowery tropical garden, to the reception lounge to the elegant and cosy treatment rooms and the post-treatment relaxation area.
Get there early and enjoy the facilities! Make it worth it! Enjoy the spa private outdoor pool while the staff bring you something from the Wellness menu or take a dip in the water, soak up some sun and sip on complimentary water or order a healthy juice. The indoor relaxation areas include saunas, steam rooms and plunge pools for you to enjoy.
At arrival, in a traditional Dubai hospitality kind a way, I was welcomed with cold towel and infused water. After a quick tour, I was escorted to the changing room, were I was handed a key to the locker. A quick change and I headed to the pool for one hour of sun bliss.
Time for my treatment. I went back in, quick shower and slipped into a cosy robe and pair of flipflop. My therapist escorted me to one of treatment villa for the "Talise Pregnancy Massage" with specific techniques and oils which are proven safe and comforting. Areas are focused on which typically affect pregnant women such as lower back, shoulders and legs. Special oil is used to assist in preventing stretch marks. First resting on my side (you will get to switch side) with a rolled up towel comfortably adjusted under my tummy, I felt relaxed and in good hands. I asked for medium pressure, wish was perfect. It got to medium hard on my shoulders in order to relieve me from some knots and tensions. It felt needed and I felt confident with the therapist. After 60 minutes, I was feeling all the benefice from a massage. It eased muscular discomforts in areas like the low back and neck, relieve some tension and tightening. I could feel the increase blood and lymph flow and circulation which can help increase the elimination of toxins through the circulatory and lymphatic systems and of course I felt totally relaxed. The 90 minute version includes a mini facial to leave the “mum to be” radiant and relaxed.
To finish my pleasant morning, the lovely and professional therapist, lead me to the relaxation room with lounge beds to enjoy a cup of ginger tea, fresh apples and dates. I spent another 30 minutes of blissful relaxation. I did not take the time to (and from my condition) enjoy the plunge pool or use the steam room and sauna. Hopefully another time!
Talise Spa is a real treat. A treatment starts around AED500, but you can spend the day and enjoy the private pool and all the spa facilities from a five-star hotel. I believe for this price, Talise Jumeirah is great spa venue. Recommended!
Expecting Mother Massage | 60 minutes: AED:550 For more info, please contact Talise Spa: www.jumeirah.com Tel: +971 4 366 6818

Urbano, Italian bistro in Souk Al Bahar, is a lovely spot for good, casual italian experience. Remember my review "Urbano Italian Trattoria"? Well this time, I had the pleasure to hang out behind the kitchen stove with charming and enthusiastic Italian Chef Claudio. It was a great morning learning two simple and classic dishes from the menu, using the freshest and best ingredients possible: Tuna Salad and a Seafood Risotto. The core value of Urbano is its simplicity and quality. If you fancy, trying home cooking style italian, have a look at the new added items from menu you will find for example... Fritto mist: Mixed seafood, calamari, white bait, squid and prawns lightly deep fried with tartar sauce. Funghi ripieni al forgo: Baked portabello mushroom filled with crispy bacon and smoked mozzarella cheese. Classic Burrata cheese from Southern Italy, drizzled with our finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, served with grilled focaccia and seasonal tomatoes. Arrosto di huzza ripen: Roasted pumpkin stuffed with cherry tomato, pine nuts, basil and mozzarella cheese. Treveli peace bollito: Poached treveli fish fillet with smoked fragola, cherry tomatoes, clams and chat potatoes. Cozze e gamberetti: Fresh mussels and prawns tossed with olive oil, chipotle chili, Italian parsley and linguine pasta. And a lot more!
Good to know: There is a children menu offering tomato soup and mozzarella sticks, and a selection of pizza and pasta to make the little ones happy. Checkout urbanorestaurants.com. Bon Appetit! ♥
Thank you to Dabo&Co and Urbano team for having me!
