Sponsored Video: Domestos & UNICEF against the Global Sanitation Crisis

I try everyday to feel a sense of gratitude, love and appreciation for what I have. Unfortunately it's easy to take for granted the basic privileges that are given to us. The short video campaign below reminded me how fortunate we are to have basic sanitation like access to toilet and hygiene practice.

Let me tell you more about the initiative behind this video.

Domestos and the Unilever Foundation have joined forces with UNICEF to promote awareness on the sanitation crisis in order to reduce disease transmission. There is an estimated 2.5 billion people around the world who do not have access to proper sanitation, a basic human right. The program, Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS) is in action in 50 countries around the world and has already improved the lives of 13.5 million people.

So, how can we help and be part of this initiative?
By purchasing specially marked bottles of Demestos bleach (available in Dubai supermarket), which will contribute 5% of average proceeds to CATS programs in South Sudan and Vietnam. If you would like to know more about the partnership, get Facebook and Twitter badges to help raise awareness check out the website. You can also find a coloring book to get the kids involved.
A little help goes a long way. Spread the word!
