Counting down...

December 1st is coming up... In our home we always looked forward to counting down the days before Christmas with an Advent Calendar. This lovely tradition from Germany 19th century is a great way to get the Christmas spirit into the house.

You can get the "basic" chocolate version from the supermarket, or get the fabric version with little pockets to fill up with goodies... or be creative and craft your own version! It's a very versatile project, so much can be done...

Ride in the park

On Friday morning Luella and I decided to venture to Dubai Creek Park...

We left the house bright and early and headed toward Bur Dubai for some adventure... Away from our comfort zone of Safa Park 2.

The Creek Park is Dubai second largest park. It offers so many different activities you could easily spend the entire day there. Choose from different recreational areas for children, mini train, cable car, bicycle renting, poney and camel rides, dolphinarium, children's city, ...

We had planned for bicycle ride and a picnic... We will definitely go back and visit Children City and the cable car...

Entrance Fees
5 Dirhams per person
Ladies day Wednesday
Friday afternoon gets busy, prefer morning or week days

Easy Crayola Craft idea

This is an easy way to apply crayola crayons to fabric and a fun way to design t-shirts with the kids.

All you need is good quality crayons, a t-shirt, iron and fine sand paper.

Thank you to "alphamom" for sharing this technique.
