Today's activity: wheat grass

Looking for an eco friendly activity? Growing Wheat Grass is a lovely spring activity for the children. They will love to plant, water and watch it grow... It's perfect for Easter time as it can be decorated and use as a center piece or table display.

Simple supply:
- wheat seeds ( got mine at the organic shop)
- potting soil
- container
- water

Be inspired, read more about growing wheat grass on http://smilinggreenmom.com. A cool website for "Green Mom"!

  4. You know what Emily, i really underestimated this activity. But when i actually got down to do it with my littl one... i was amazed how i could explain him so many many fundamental things...taught him about grains, plant coming out of it, taking care of it by watering it everday.....really great activity. And then my sons asks...mom when is Thumbelina going to come out it:)))
